People often ask me what it is like to be a freelance writer. My reply always starts with err.... That is because being able to write for a living is great but it is difficult to sum up in a few words. I've decided to start this blog to talk about what I do, what other writers and PRs I know are doing, and to show some of my work.
Writing for a new publication is always exciting and this week I have my first piece in the New Statesman magazine, about social care for the elderly. This is a subject particularly close to my heart and I enjoyed writing it although I was shocked by some of my findings. I was grateful to Jennifer Clark for speaking to me so openly and to the press office at Help the Aged for being extremely helpful and arranging this case study. Click here to read the article, which appears in the 'Fair Care for All' supplement.
